Hello, I am Catherine Dales ...

... and I am an archer. Welcome to my site.

Catherine Dales

My name is Catherine Dales welcome to my website.

I live on the outskirts of Leeds, West Yorkshire. I am a member of Bowmen of Leeds who shoot at the Miners Welfare Hall, Garforth, and at Wetherby Junior Archers, Wetherby High School.

I have been taking part in competitive archery since the age of 10.

In 2013 Archery GB offered me a place on the Archery GB Regional Performance Academy Programme. This offer represents a fantastic achievement for me, after I had been asked over a period of 18 months to engage in a rigorous selection process and training programme. From the thousands of junior members that the programme was open to, Archery GB have selected only sixty athletes for this programme across England. There are 3 academies in the country which train and develop the selected athletes between the ages of 10 and 16.

The Programme is intensive and its purpose is to prepare each athlete for their journey to become an Olympic medallist.

The Northern Academy serves the whole of the north of England and only has 12 athletes. The ultimate aim of the Academy is to produce archers capable of winning Olympic gold medals.

It's an amazing opportunity for me and with a lot of hard work hopefully I will represent Great Britain in the future.

I hope you enjoy my website, and if you would like to sponsor me and help me achieve my goal, please email me by clicking here.
